Their Daily BreadImage is of an alleyway There is child standing in a cobblestone street                        shown from behind The child is holding onto an unidentified object bread and                        is wearing dark coloured dress shoes and stockings To the left of the child                        is a wagon to the right is a bushel basket of apples or potatoes leaning                        against the white wall of a building A bunch of flowers hangs above the                        bushel on the wall To the right of these flowers at the same level as the                        other doors is a window with a white frame There are several doors in this                        wall The wall divides the image in half vertically A pair of shoes sits on a                        step between two doors In the middle of the image there is a shadowed                        doorway; directly above this doorway is an open two framed window A child                        figure has its arms draped over the sill an adult figure is standing behind                        the child The artists signature Stanhope A Forbes is in the lower left hand                        corner The image is vertically displayed
